Hello, Could someone please give me some advice? My cat appears to have gained a small grey growth beneath her left ear. It is like a balloon. Although it does not appear to be causing her much discomfort, she is not scratching at it and she is not off her food, I am somewhat concerned. We have had a lot of building work in our house at the moment and she is very timid and spends a lot of time hiding and I wondered if it could be stress related. Any help would be very much appreciated and would set my mind at rest. Thankyou very much. Jane

Hi Jane, welcome to TCS!

I don't think your cat's problem is stress-related, though I'm sure the building that's going on in your house right now is certainly causing her stress.

There are many reasons for skin growths. It's possible that she has an abscess, or some foreign object that became imbedded in the skin. It could be a benign cyst too. The best thing to do is have the vet take a look at it to rule out any serious problem.
