I know that all the female cat owners on this site are known as meowmy but what would a male cat owner be known as? The only pun for this I have come up with is "pawpaw". Anyone else have any suggestions or comments?

This has come up before, and I think the terms offered were 'Pawpaw' or 'Purrpa'!

Yeah, we need a good moniker for us guys. I've used "cat dad" but that's not nearly as cool as "meowmy".

(and you have to have the ! after it to get the full effect!)
Then, I started thinking that it sounds too much like some sort of awful, creepy, 'furry', frozen treat.

To tell you the truth - I'm not that keen on meowmy, I have used it but not much and I prefer to use mom - for our US friends - mum for UK'er so I would probably use Dad / Daddy for UK or Pop / Popa for US
Pawpaw is a good generic name for a pet dad, though purrpa/purrpaw seems to be used the most.

I like the purpaw because I call my dad my cat's grandpa and I call him pawpaw to her but my niece calls him that too . I like the Kittypop! but its simply funny I don't think it matters because either way you are basically saying you love your kitties and that's what matters that you love them enough to look at them like they are the babies they are.
