I've been using the Panalog cream on Palas for his skin sores. But he cleans the area thoroughly immediately after I apply it every time. Can it be effective at all if licked off immediately?

It needs to have at least a couple minutes to be absorbed into the skin. You should try giving your kitty a little bit of soft food or something that will distract him from licking at it for a couple of minutes...

Thank you for this reply. it's been difficult with the wet food recall as I feed the natural choice pouches, but I tried your suggestion and it seems to be helping. I'm giving a little milk in his dry food and let it get soft and he likes it so it distracts him for about 3 minutes before he proceeds to clean off the cream :p stinker...unfortunately, the problem seems to be getting worse and I've had not so great vets thus far...*Sigh* still searching for a good vet
