Cuteness on that level should be outlawed!

Your house is must be insane. I hope you have lots of help. Have any of them been picked out for adoption yet? (Or are they all staying at your place forever?)
I'll tell you what - this post of yours has me thinking, hmmm, someday I might decide to foster, just to be able to enjoy that kind of laughter, to enjoy fluffy cuteness, to know that I'm helping the little ones off to a good start in life.Originally Posted by lisasha3
The little buggers are driving me nuts! Everytime I step into the room it's chorus of little meows. And they're quick now! Gotta be careful leaving rooms, they bolt for the doors. They're into hopping, and running like little maniacs across the room. It's so damn cute cause they put their little ears flat back, pull a "halloween" cat stance, then take off at 100mph. It's so funny! They get me laughing so hard I've got tears. I'll tell you what - it's a great "pick-me-up" when I've had a bad day!
Only a couple hours from NH - how many do you want?Originally Posted by lnbandcats
I can't stand it! The pictures are absolutely wonderful - and your descriptions of the kittens' antics are just laugh out loud funny! I want one - or two - or - oh, oh, here I go again! You should have posted a "cuteness alert". I may have to Google "home of the black squirrel" and hope that it is no where near me!
Oh wow, your babies are SO cute, but I especially love little Proxy- she looks just like my Cosette did as a baby!Originally Posted by lisasha3
Home of the black squirrel (the "actual LIVE" black squirrel as opposed to businesses, establishments, etc) is in western Massachusetts. Many years ago black squirrels were brought to our local park as part of the zoo's animal display. One night the cage broke and they all escaped. They've been breeding throughout our town ever since and can now be seen occasionally in the surrounding towns. We've got a mix of black and gray squirrels - pretty much 50/50 now.Originally Posted by lnbandcats
Oh no! I was relieved when I Googled and it said Kansas was the Home of the Black Squirrel - but for some reason, I thought I remembered a prior post that indicated you lived in Maine? Well, we will have to talk - seriously!
Marysville, Kansas, bills itself as Home of the Black Squirrel, but their mascot has only been in the state since the 1920s, when several black squirrels escaped from a traveling circus.Originally Posted by lisasha3

So - Kansas lies!!Unless they were talking about a business or something.

As for kittens - I am seriously thinking that two would be nice - the problem would be which two? Like everyone else, I want them all. I guess you will get a PM from me. But only after I go throuh 24 hours without looking at your kitten pics - there is a method to your madness, right?
Hey, we have black squirrels too! I just thought it was a mutation, since we only see them occasionally like the occasional albino.Originally Posted by lisasha3
Maybe we aren't the ONLY home of the black squirrel. We are a fairly small town in western mass, so there's a good possibility that our seclusion and "hicksville" attitude went to our heads thinkin we were the only one. I mean they had to come from somewhere right? They were brought here to display at our zoo.
But - since "I" also have that Hicksville attitude - I will continue to proudly say we ARE the home of the black squirrel.and we've got a town store that sells t-shirts to prove it.
Actually I only have two moms for the three litters. One of the moms took on some babies who's mom refused to feed them. I've got one mom upstairs with her 7 babies and the other mom downstairs in my daughters room with her 4 babies. The mom downstairs mingles with my whole crew just fine. She only gets a little bent out of shape when one of my cats goes in the room where her babies are, but we quickly got that rule established and my clan abides by it.Originally Posted by Snuzy

How do you foster three families all at once? ARe they all in the same room? Do the moms get along? I've only done one batch at a time. Right now I've got a sweet mom Rosie with 3- 6 week old babies-Molly, Bridget, and Paddy (the St. Patrick Day's bunch). I love how you name them in groups. I try to do that too. My first batch were the Peanuts gang--Lucy, Linus, Sally, and Patty.
