Possible Catfood recall death

My Parents Siamese / Persian mix has always been very healthy (He was 5 years old btw). Spontaneously last week my parents awoke to the cat foaming at the mouth and urinating everywhere.

The vet had to put the cat down :-(.

The vet thought he might have had a heart attack or something to that nature. I look around my parents house and they dont have any poison plants or rat poison.

Then i see of this catfood recall and it is a brand from walmart, Which is where they buy the wet catfood for him.

Could the symptoms i describe be attributed to the bad catfood? And if so, does anyone know if the cat food producers are doing anything for our deceased animals?

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this! Poor little sweetie. I hope they find out what happened.

Wow that's tragic and makes me angry at the same time. I'm sorry for your parents loss. Poor kitty.
