I need to see pics in order to vote. I think some women look better with short hair, or long hair, or can pull both off.

I actually got a haircut today.
I just had a few inches taken off. I think you should go shorter. You'll feel a lot lighter with that length off there. Though I do love long hair as well. I wouldn't go past your shoulders though.

Well I'm a little late in gettin' here too but I'm glad you didn't cut it off...its gorgeous! I've always wanted long, curly hair. Unfortunately, to get that look, I've had several spiral perms back when they were popular. All I can say is I'll never do that again!!! it was awful! I guess I was just meant to have straight hair...long too...its around my waist right now...and I love it! However, as many here have said, change is good and it can always grow back if you do decided to cut it at some point.

I see the pic now. It's a toss up to me. I think you could pull long or short hair off.

Chop it off and give it to Locks of Love. With your pretty round face you would look really good w/shoulder or jaw length hair.

Why be a chicken about it? It's just hair and it grows back.

Have fun, experiment with it. Everyone needs a change now and then. Having the same style for 10 years of rather boring, not to mention limiting.

I've had my hair long down to my knees, cropped really short where the longest hair on my head was 1/2 inch long and the shortest about 1/8 inch long, and I've had it every length in between.

I've had funky styles, trendy styles, and fad styles (think Farrah Fawcett).

I don't worry about bad hair styles because it grows back. I go to the stylist, sit in the chair and usually let them do whatever they want to my hair. They do hair dozens of hair styles everyday and they know what styles look good on different shaped faces. So I tend to trust their judgment.

So take a chance. Live on the edge. Amazing what a simple change of hair style will do to make a person feel great

Aww.. I didn't think of that.

The reason I didn't chop it off is because I have such a round face and curly hair that if I did it would take all the weight off and my hair would end up being "Orphan Annie" curly
And my stylist also told me that with short curly hair on someone w/a round face, it can make you look chubby..

I've lost almost 70lbs in the last year so I definatly DON'T want that to happen

Ma'am, I ORDER you to cut that hair!

You can donate it to Locks of Love...
and you are absolutely beautiful. Just think how well shorter hair would set off and frame that pretty face.

Don't be afraid... as soon as you get used to styling it and really LOVE it, it'll be time to cut it again! It always ends up happening that way!

ETA: Short hair doesn't always make you look chubby, even short "big" hair... mine is straight, but when I whacked it off a while back I used to fluff it up a lot... very retro.
And it slimmed down my face a lot. Your face doesn't need any slimming (OWN those cheeks, I do -- well mine, not yours!
), but with a shorter cut (shoulder length or a little longer, not flapper hair) and a lot of well-placed layers I think it would draw a LOT of attention to the positive aspects of your face.

Long hair takes so much work & then you just throw it back....it's pointless!
My hair is halfway down my back too (actually a bit more) and I've been having these crazy urges to chop off all my hair. The thing is I don't want to be sitting there for two hours while people cut my hair.

Do not hack it off.You will regret it and get cold. And your cats will not forgive you for taking theirhumans fur away.
How about a consultation with stylist and see if they can keep it long but change style.maybe some layers or a tiny fringe or even just some highlights.

hack it off and it will end up in a wig shop.its too gorgeous

Well, I don't think she should HACK it OFF!!! But, I could see you with about 5-6 inches off (possibly leaving the length about an inch or two below the shoulders), with some long layers added to it. It will give your hair a lot of body, and completely change the way your hair feels...it will get most of the "dead" stuff, and update your look. It will make you look a bit younger, and will drastically improve the health of your hair. C'mon...it will look sexy!

Think a la Kate Hudson with her lovely below-the shoulder curls...not too long, but long enough that your style is still "long", if that makes sense.

That's one thing I'm obsessive about is my hair. Every 6 weeks I go to my stylist and have the dead ends/split ends cut off.
When I went in yesterday, I looked at Johnathon (stylist) and said "Johnathon, I'm cutting it off!"
He looked me dead in the face and said
"No you're not. I know better"
Thats when he said my face is too round for too short of hair.
He sent me home with some pictures and websites to check out with other hairstyles.
I"m going to go through them and see what I like.
For next time
