There is a guy on this show who just won $50 000 and then dropped to one knee. The girlfriend said yes. Do you think that's romantic???

As an outsider, I'd wonder if money or the heat of the moment was more of a motivation to both of them versus truly wanting to be married.

I think it's cheesy, but not in a good way. No ill thoughts their way though. May they live happily ever after.

Wasn't there that situation once where someone proposed really publicly at a football or basketball game or something like that and it was all on live TV and the girl said no? In public in front of millions. I bet he just wanted the ground to open up.

Yeah I think it's really cheesy, but then I am quite private about my emotions and stuff. I think if a guy does it that much in public it's because either a) he thinks she is more likely to be pressurised into saying yes in front of an audience, or b) he enjoys being in front of an audience himself. I prefer more privacy for that sort of expression of intent and emotion, and I wonder about the motivation of anyone seeking a large audience. Are they doing it because it's important to them and what they want, or because they will get an 'awww' on telly! If that makes sense.

I thought it was sweet. I'm thinking, what if this money is going to be a down payment for a house, or the money to buy the ring of her dreams? Or the wedding of her dreams! I got the feeling they were together for a while, so maybe this was their big break.

I just know I teared up...DH laughed at me! I wish them all the best!!

Cheesy. Definately. I think anything ilke that is tho. I honestly don't want the whole world to see my proposal- I'd rather it be romantic between me and my finace and family. I dont want people talking about my proposal and it being cheesy
No thanks, I'm not into that!

I wouldn't do it because:

1) Is she just saying yes because she's on tv and she doesn't want to look like a b!tch by saying no?

2) Is she just saying yes because he won $50,000?

It would drive me nuts
