Well this morning my car decided to NOT go into reverse

So, I decided this might be the time to get preapproved for a loan, and start shopping around.

I got approved and got a lower interest rate because of my impeccable credit
So, now its just finding the car I want in the price range I can afford
It is very hard to find that car in my price range around here...

Wish me luck!!

What kind are you looking around for? I love getting new cars, I always have the urge to get new ones every other spring
But the one I have now is one I'll be sticking with for awhile!

GOOD LUCK!!

Lotsa "find that car" vibes, Nat!
Obstreperous wheels are a serious pain in the butt.
Do you know what you're looking for?

Wishing I were anywhere but here
Good Luck!
I hope you find one. Make sure to get a car fax on it. You want to be sure the car wasn't flooded in a hurricane, etc. Not sure if canada imports used cars from US, though. So you might not have that flooding issue. Anyway, sending you lots of vibes! Honda is good quality.

While we were waiting today, in between mum and I, we got about 6 cups of coffee.. everytime I went to Roll up the Rim.. I would be wishing for that car. LOL. Didn't win squat on anything though.

Good luck!

Are there sites that you can check?

Here's one:
http://www.autotrader.ca

If you go through a dealer, sometimes they have ties (or franchises) of their lots that they can transfer back and forth from.

Or if you find one you like online, they can drive it to you!

Definitely check out the carfax.com thing too.

Civics are great little cars! I drove one for 18 years, and it gave me no problems at all. It didn't even get around to nickel-and-diming me, simply that the not terribly expensive repair that it eventually needed was more than its book value by then, and since we already knew we didn't need to be a two-car family, we elected to let Rufus go.

Also watch for Toyotas and Mazdas, though. We've had good experience with Toyota -- our current one is 18 years old as well, and still running on the original clutch -- and anyone we know who's had Mazdas keeps going back for more.

Good luck!

Why not an Aveo?!!! Hee hee. Thought you'd appreciate that.
I saw a 95 Honda civic listed in the Toronto Sun a few days ago for $3500.

I am not adverse to buying a Toyota, but I have my heart set on the civic..I just love it, and I am a brand snob and intend to stick to Honda forever
I know Toyotas last forever too though, they are great little cars.
