Yesterday Lilly came home from a pretty extensive oral surgery: teeth cleaning, biopsy, extraction, and lasering of a large mass in her mouth for partial removal. According to the vet the mass was very infected and as she lasered there was a large amount of pus and blood (sorry for being so graphic...) Lilly was doing good all evening and she is still doing alright still relaxing, however just a little bit ago I noticed some additional drainage coming out of the side of her mouth. I wiped it off and now there is nothing else at the moment. Do you think this is just a normal after effect of the surgery? Should I be worried?

Poor little Lilly!! If I had just gone thru what she went thru, I'd probably be drooling pretty bad. If this keeps up, call your vet and ask for advice. I suspect it's a normal response to her surgery.

I hope she feels better soon!!
