Today is the big day. I will be leaving here at 8am (its 6:15am right now) to take him to the vet to be neutered. I am real nervous so please keep him and me in your thoughts. Plus I have a 40 min. one way trip ahead of me to get him there. I'll let you know how things go when I get back this afternoon.

Right now he is mad because I can't feed him. Poor guy. I had to take up all his dry food last night. One thing I worry about is how he will react to the vet. He is not use to people that are not his family.

I am sure he will be just fine.
It is hard not to worry though. I was a nervous wreck when mine went in to get theirs done too.

Lets see if it posts this time.

Ok I just got back from dropping him off. I made it there a little after 8am. He was very vocal on the way there. They said they will call me when it is time to pick him up. They said that it would be sometime this afternoon. I also told them to trim his claws while he is under sedation. Boy the looks he gave me when I left him there could have dropped a moose.

Nope not done yet. When I took him in this morning they said it would be closer to noon before they could do the surgery. But that it should be done and ready for me to pick him up this afternoon. As soon as I get the call to pick him up I will update. My husband is worried on how he reacted and stuff when they took him out of the carrier. He is so not used to people. We hardly have any visitors. And when we do have people (family) come over he is not very happy. He gets that raccoon tail going. And I then put him in a quiet room till they leave so he can be at peace so to speak.

Good luck for the surgery! I am sure he will be fine, even if he is nervous around strangers the vets are used to dealing with all sorts of personalities

Just called the vet. They said they have done the surgery and he is doing well but is still pretty groggy. They said I can come and pick him up around 3:30pm so I will be leaving here between 2:30-3:00.

I bought a bunch of new toys for him after I dropped him off at the vet. Wal-Mart was having a sale.
