Rosie's going back to the vet tomorrow

Recap: My rat Rosie had tumors removed a couple of weeks ago from her side and one on the bottom of her foot....

The one one her side healed well and looks great, but I think the one on her foot is coming back or something because it now looks almost like it did before she had it removed. It kind of looks like a big blister but it is red.

I'll see if I can get a pic of it, but it's not very pretty

Rosie could sure use some vibes. I really don't want to have her go through surgery again.

that's a shame. I saw those pics too and thought the vet did an amazing job. I hope it's just some swelling on her foot and not a return of the tumor.

Well, Rosie foot tumor did come back, but it can't really be taken off again because it's too close to the bone now after the first surgery.

She has to go in tomorrow morning and get a biopsy done so they know what kind of tumor it is to give her the proper medicine. She will either have to be on prednisone(sp?) (I think the doc said) or some kind of antibiotic.

If I knew the tumor would come back this soon I would have gotten it biopsied the last time, but it took a lot of scraping up funds to pay for the last surgery, now I'll have to scrap up the funds all over again.

Oh no!! I am so sorry to hear this about Rosie..You and Rosie will remain in my thoughts and prayers..Do you know when you will have the biopsy done?

Sad news....


Rosie went in for her biopsy today but passed away during the surgery. The vet said she was doing really well but all of a sudden her heart rate sky rocketed and they could not bring her back.

Thank you all Rosie was the sweetest rat I've ever had. She like to be held and cuddled and she would always like to go on my shoulders and get tangled up in my hair! I will miss her so much.
