So as I was exploring the web to help with my now 2 day old peeing problem(vet apointment today, crosses fingers). I come across this lovely websight decided why not they are all cat lovers too. So me and my kids. Woden and Loki 2 short haired black and white spoted terrors and their mum my now not so wild black stray, signed up and here we are. Were cosy for the moment with my husband of not quite one year, in our small but not too small for us apartment while we save for a house. lol

I'm not looking forward to the day when my former roomate comes to pick up the Loki monster, as the boys have never been apart. But we will cross that bridge when we get to it.
I'm sure some one will have some nice advice for makeing the split not so hard on them. I already tried talking him out of takeing Loki but he is stubbern, just like that cat.

So heres to hopeing Woden my shy big guy is not in deep trubble with his sudden i'm not peeing in that box behavior.

So Hello I'm here .. I'll try to not take up too much space.

Hi & welcome to TCS!

It's too bad that your kitties are destined to split up.

I hope your Woden's vet visit went well!

Well I got woden back the next day and it's been kinda hectic around here. He has Urinary crystals. Vet put him on SD wet food which he refuses to eat, so he has gone on a hunger strike for the last 3 days. Me and the vet gave in today and he is allowed to eat his dry food provided he takes his meds lol.
So it's not too bad, I caught it early enough.

Welcome to TheCatSite

and we sure do hope the vet can diagnose Woden's problem and hopefully, treat him for it! Patience, love, and good food and care usually go a long way to solve most problems. So we hope to hear a progress report soon, and we hope it is a good one...It's really too bad that he and Loki have to be separated. Cats bond just as deeply if not moreso than humans do.

All 9 of The Nine are rescued, indoor-only and spayed/neutered, of course! Samuda has had urinary tract problems in the past, but is doing great now and for the past three years. He had "stones" and the vet prescribed Methigel methionine gel supplement for this problem. He doesn't even need it now! I'm so proud of him.

Enjoy the forums and look forward to seeing you here. Would love to see pix, too!

Bah my boy is still vomiting and I have yet to see him pee... I locked him out of the bedroom today in hopes he will hide less. I am sure by the end of this he will hate me
Tomarrow I will call the vet again.

Dear Xulili:

Praying for your Woden and sending healing thoughts his way. Have you asked the vet whether he has a blockage, and whether methionine would be recommended? Is he at the hospital, or home with you?

3/22 midnight vet trip to the ER, now with a more meds(anti-inflam) and a cone... no blockage thankfully that was my original worry. After a few days he seems better I think the worst is over and he is acting like his old self again
.. but after this I think I am going to A NEW VET! This one did not give the time of day to my conerns nor listen to me in the first place. The E-vet was a godsend he took the time to help me understand what each med. did, how it would affect him and gave me a few pages to info to read. I miss my old vet wish he did not retire and give his clients to this new place

Oh well.. now to find a long term solution to our problem. New diet time.
