I am not sure if I am posting in the right area -

our new cat Lupe is an indoor cat and I would like to keep her that way. Our other cat was a stray who we adopted, neutered, etc.. he stays mostly inside but occasionally gets out. He's pretty quiet and rarely goes far plus he comes when called so he's pretty easy to catch. Lupe on the other hand is a spitfire. She is desperate to get out and is constantly waiting around the door to catch it when it opens.

I was perusing the web and found sites about cat enclosures and wondered about if other people have used them.

I have one that I made for the guinea pigs using the Cavy Cages method with C&C cages.

I thought I could do the same for Lupe so she could watch the birds but be safe.

We have one that is 10 x 20 and 10 feet tall with a kitty door going in to our house.

We built one for our cats and it is the best thing I ever did for them.

You can get some nice tent-like enclosures for cats that can be attached to the house. We plan on enclosing our patio in the future. And having the bottom solid with a rail and screen midway to the top. That way the cats can come join us in the summer for some safe outside time.

That's the extent of their outside time

I did my whole backyard (1/4 acre) using Affordable Cat Fencing. Works great, cats love it. Cally
