for those that use computers at work.

Do you bring in, or lock up your own keyboard to use? or do you just use the one you are given.

i bring my own in my bag every night. the community one that we had 3 people using , is kinda, nasty looking and full of germs, and fast food, and that looks like a bagel part there.

I'm the only one who uses my key board so it stays at work.

yep it is gross, that is why i started bringing in my own to use.
this is a office, why should the key on the kb be black etc,

I work at a kindergarden/ day care, I don't use the computer at work. We don't have internet anyways, the kids have a computer though.

I'm the only one uses mine too, so those are MY germs, thank you very much. I do try and keep it clean, but at least it's black.

The only time someone uses mine is if their covering for me while i'm on holiday, but it always gets a good brush out and a wipe over with an antibacterial wipe.

But there is often crumbs in my own keyboard I have to eat!!

Same here!

Just to be on the safe side I lick mine when I arrive in the morning.

I am the only who uses my keyboard so I m ok with the food in it. Sometimes if I am really hungry i get a sheet of paper and empty the crubs onto it have a little snack! Just kidding. That would be really gross.

just marking my territory....

I work in customer service/operator so we all share keyboards as we usually have a different position every day. Unfortunately, that doesn't help any of us when someone gets sick.

we don't use keyboards at work atleast not on the floor I work in a nursing home and I get enough germs as it is.

Yep that is the reason i started to bring my own to use,i noticed that when one of the four of us got sick, the rest would soon follow. granted i have my own desk, but the new operation people find it more easy to use the centtral desk where we can see the monitors(7) that we need to watch.

anyway, that is why a couple of yeras ago i started to bring in my own kb and mouse.
