Hi all. I found a beautiful little girl outside. i brought her in very loveable Tabby. Her coat is nice and clean. she had been hangin around the neighbors house for 3 days. I have now had her in my house for 1 week. she was thin and now has alittle bit of a belly not low to the ground but from the sides as if she is eating healthy. At first she was loving and playful. Now she's kinda lazy and shes eating alot more. Her tummy is alittle tight and noticed her nipples seemed to be prominent. I am taking her in to vet on Wenesday for shots and flea meds... Wanted to know if u had any ideas on this.. Is she Pregnant? I have pictures for u of her and her Nipples. Can u help?
By the way we named her AZELLA

Been awhile since I really looked - but I'd say yes she is - maybe about 1/2 way thru - so another 4 weeks. She doesn't look pregnant as far as her size yet, but the nipples sure look bright pink and kind full - not flat.

Maybe some of the others in here with pregnant cats can do a comparison.

BTW very pretty kitty

i think her nipples look like pregnant cat ones - but she might have had litters in the past and maybe this is why theyre large? because as far as her size is concerned she doesnt look it. however fromt he way uve described her behaviour id say yes she is...my cats nipples began 2 look like this in her 4th week...so id say shes probably half way as well...get the vet 2 palpate her when u take her in and they will tell u 4 sure

It's really hard to tell...sorry. I second Sully's suggestion - that's the best you can do.

awww, she looks like my cat that passed away in september. i miss him still!

her nipples look like my misty's looked when she was about3-4 weeks pregnant. if u wanna be certain so u can start preparing and getting her healthy, u should take her to the vet. she is so beautiful!

I agree with everyone...the only way to know for sure is to take her to the vet, and well when u go wed have them check
her nipples do look it a little bit though but her size doesnt all that much but if she is that can be because shes malnoursished or she has only 1-2 kittens in there but the only way to know for sure is to take her to the vet!

Aw...what a sweet baby. When I see her sides, she looks pregnant to me. Is she on a kitten food? She will need the extra calories, if she is. From what I understand, if she is not spayed, and is living "in the wild" she will be pregnant. Thanks for taking care of this sweet girl. Let us know what the vet says!!

How is it going to be for you if she is pregnant? Are you going to be okay with that?

I know it hasn't been mentioned, and it is certainly not an easy decision, but if she is pregnant, she could have a spay/abort. It costs a bit more, but it is certainly cheaper than raising kittens. I'm not saying that's what you should do, I'm just saying that it's an option.

She's a very pretty kitty! Thank you for taking her in!

I'm a big cat person so taking Azella in was not painful for me. Almost a year ago I lost my very beautiful Chester girl.. she was a gorgeous Torti,I had her for 14 yrs.. since I was 17.

I found her and her sisters in a box at the Pound. They were only 1 to 2 days old.
I took the whole litter. I gave them all their feedings I watered down their butts.
I was mom. I loved it.
Right know I do relize there is overpopulation in the word W/cats. I'm going to let her have these babys if she is pregnant and spay her when its over.. I am keeping one of the babes and my neighbor wants one. so 2 down already.
I guess we'll see tomarrow. I will keep you posted.

If you can, I'd switch her to the Royal Caien kitten food rather then Iams. We recently switched to RC after being an Iams house for many many years. Charlie's breeder used to use Iams - she found that RC is much better for her cats.

Where do you find that? I think we might have some at the feed store - but not at PetSmart...

Beleive me I'm sadden but happy at the same time. Sadden because of the overpopulation of cats in the world but happy that its my kitty thats having the babys (maybe)
My husband said that i can keep one of the babys and i already have a neighbor to take one as well.

I will keep u posted.
P.S. I saw the video of you kitten playing. ROFL
I have never seen a cat go back for more like a dog he was precious.
