Hard to imagine, I know! But if you'd never met a cat before, just other animals, and knew nothing about cats, what would confuse/surprise you about them? Wht woud you question?
I'd wonder why she was headbutting me!!

I'm not sure what would suprise me, I've always been around cats since the day I was born. Maybe how they "stalk" things might be suprising. Since dogs really don't do that so much.

It's really interesting to see what other people think, as I didn't really know much about cats until I had Villy. She soon tought me a few things though!
I still wonder why she pretends to 'bury' her food - but when she comes to eat it later she doesn't 'dig it up'!
does it just magically re-appear or does she forget she 'buried' it!

I second that - what's the paw dance? Do you mean kneading?

I think I would wonder why they suddenly go beserk and charge around like a thing possessed then just as suddenly sit down and casually lick a paw!

Also why do they stare at nothing? Is there a ghost in my house?!

And the best of all. Why oh why, when a cat runs, does its back legs overtake its front legs and it ends up facing the way it just came from?!!!!

Yup, the mood swings would definitely confuse me. I'd also question how they can be having an intense fight one second and then snuggle up for a nap together the next second.

What DOES go on in those little cat-brains?

She just 'bury's' her bowl, which is on her mat, beside her biscuits & her water, in the kitchen. She just scrapes at the floor 'burying her food!'

And WHY does she love sitting on paper?! It's not cosy, surely!

I would ask

"why is it that whichever side of the door you are on, it is always the WRONG side!!!and

"why is freshly ironed laundry so good to lie on?"

Miagi and Tiger are the only cats I have ever had in my life and I was questioning their sand paper like tongues.
