Smart cats and their human subjects

Cats can get us to do anything.

Today at the pet food store, I was talking to a fellow customer who asked how many cats I have . Just 1, but he eats a lot, I said. Oh, I have 4; I have a big "S" on my forehead.

And she says that the neighbour cats know her really well. She has a key for the neighbour's house, and the cats know it. So, if they want to go in to their house, they come and call at her door. She takes the key, opens the door next door to let them in. When the neighbours are home.

I laughed and laughed.....didn't tell her that I was on my way home from the aquarium supply store where I had just dropped $28.00 for plants to decorate Sam's fish tank. (that is, the fish tank where we keep Sam's pet tropical fish - I don't make the cat live in a fish tank).

LOL! I can understand this completely. I get a big tub of bird seed every two weeks to feed Ivo's pigeons. It's her entertainment when I'm at work. If I don't, or run out early, I'll feed them the bread I bought for my sandwhiches!

My cats have a fish tank, too, which we affectionately refer to as "cat tv, the fish channel." The feeders in the back yard make the picture window in the den "the bird channel."

My cats had a mouse tank which they all adored so. They would all sit around and on top of the cages and just watch and watch and they'd keep watching as if one of the mice were about pop out of the tank any minute.

I really think they recent us for not having mice anymore.
