We just went down to the local Aussie store to stock up on a couple of things for us and a couple of people (and spent $180...
), and they had Arnott's Chicken Crimpy's. They're a savoury biscuit (the australian sort of biscuit...), with a yummy chickeny flavour and are sooooooo yummy!

DH and I have just scoffed them down and man it was worth it!

We also got Milo, 2 Milo bars to eat straight away, 2 packs of Tim Tams, a pack of desiccated coconut, gravy mix, Promite, 3 dozen pies and a dozen sausage rolls. I think that was it.... Oh and a car bumper sticker....

It's amazing the sort of things from home you miss when you're away. This will keep our Aussie food cravings satisfied for a while

$180!! You're so lucky to have an Aussie store though. We have a British one down the road and I'm going to check it out for marshmellow easter eggs as I can't find anything like them in the supermarkets here, and I've been craving them lately.
It is funny the little things you miss.

Do they sell Vegimite there? A friend of mine moved here from Australia, and she brought me some Vegimite. I have to say, it's an acquired taste. However, I certainly loved it on buttered toast. It tastes very salty and yeasty, but it is quite tastey when one is in the mood for it.

They do have it, but only small, expensive bottles. We brought 2 x 1kg bottles of it from Australia last time we came back, and enough people we know come over here that we can just get supplies from them if we need more

It definitely IS an acquired taste - food in general is a lot sweeter over here, especially bread, so Vegemite on sweet toast is a little odd. The secret is to spread it very thinly, and have butter as well - yum!
