A supplement for dry cat fur and skin or can i just cut open and omega gel capsul into their food? They are on a good diet of a nutra Evo raw instincts rotation but the winter has dried out their fur and skin

I use the Missing Link powder for all 8 of my kitties, it not only keeps their skin and coat amazingly soft and beautiful it also helps ease the digestive tract and keep hairballs to a bare minimum. I hardly ever have hairball problems and out of 5 long-haired kitties I never have a matting issue either. It can be a little pricey depending on where you buy it but I swear by the stuff and will use nothing else. It has made such a diffence in my kitties coats!

sharky one of them has dry fur but I think that is just her coat texture the other has some dandruff going on and the other two have minimal dandruff. They are indoor out door as well so im not sure if that has anything to do with it.. where do you order the oil from? or the missing link?

if your cats go outside also, are they on Frontline or something to prevent a flea from getting on them? a flea bite can set off a chain reaction if your cat is allergic to them.
Solid Gold Health makes a product, it's dehydrated sea weed, we used to get it for our old lab, she was 15 yrs when we lost her. But it helped her dry coat and arthritis. Worth looking into.
Might be a food allergy too, lots of cats are allergic to chicken, one of the most popular ingredients in cat food, might try switching to Purina One, for sensitive systems, no chicken in it.
Keep us posted...

Most cats are allergic to wheat soy fish alfalfa and kelp.... Purina one is only a step above cat chow and I would never suggest it for allergies... YES I have read it .... Welcome

the poster actually is feeding a mix of some of the best quality foods on the market

Solid Gold is great, but Purina...BLAH! Crappy food, I wouldn't recommend it.

I know a number of people who use Missing Link with great results and it is not expensive.
