I'm glad to see that the slow down was just for a short period of time! Of course, it is also nice that the busy week here corresponds so nicely with a down week at work.

Not a whole lot going on with me, just thought I would start a daily thread. I'm excited about tomorrow, though. My grandparents are in town and we are going to have lunch with them. I haven't seen them since Mom's funeral 2, almost 3 years ago. They live in Georgia so I don't get to see them very often. Grandma went through some really tough times mentally and physically after Mom's passing. She just couldn't deal with her oldest daughter being gone. Both of them are getting up there in years, and both have had their fair share of health problems so realistically I don't know how many years I have left to spend time with them. I am very thankful for this opportunity to see them. Anyway, hope that doesn't sound too depressing. I'm just trying to be realistic.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

That is so great that you get to spend some time with your grandparents!

Well I just got home and I wanted to check in to see if any new captions were posted for Excalibur's picture (#85 caption). That is one of my fav pics of him.

I have had a rough day. My morning started with a phone call from my car pool driver saying that she was sick. She called at the time I would normally need to leave the house if I have to take the bus, only prob was I still had to have a shower. I had the fastest shower of my life and was out of the house within 15 min after the phone. I still got to work on time but it really stressed me out.

I had to deal with really irritating (stupid) clients today. I was dealing with employers and let me tell you some people shouldn't be able to own companies or have kids - they are just too incompetent!

I have to go to a viewing at a funeral home tonight. My Aunt's mother in law passed away. I used to live next to her she was a sweet woman up until about 15 years ago and then she got nasty and mostly took it out on my aunt, especially after my aunt's hubby died. I am not looking forward to going and I want to be home in time for Survivor!

I hope everyone else has had an ok day! See ya tomorrow.

I thought I'd sneak in here really quick and say HELLO!
Work's been so busy lately, and as always, I just don't have any time. I hope everyone and their kitties are doing well.

My S/O's mother will be visiting this weekend. Hopefully he'll find something to do with her... it's not that I don't like her, she's just one of those people that doesn't ever have anything to say and it's a chore trying to talk to her. I try, though!

I woke up this morning with a sore throat and an achey body. It didn't really hit me too hard until I got to work and boy was I drained. I think I'm catching what Brian had last week and it's whipping my butt. I got stuck at work till 2 since I had blood work to run and they were using the laser for surgery and since I am an LSO(Laser saftey officer)
I had to stick around. It felt so good to come home and curl up on the couch I'll tell ya.

Brian found a new job and gave his two weeks today! I am so proud of him because I really thought he was going to fart around about finding a new job because he hates change so. I can't really blame the guy though, I'm the same way. His boss told him that tomarrow can be his last day so he starts his new job on Monday.

He'll be working for a real estate company maintaining the yards of houses their trying to sell and if it rains or snows he'll be inside painting or doing odd things like that. When I asked where it was he told me it's that place that's next door to Zac's(strip club)... I said "If you come home late from work I know where you've been.":tounge2:

Heidi, I hope you have fun with your grandparents!

Ady, I'm sorry you had crappy day but the week is almost over!! Unless you have to work on the weekend then that's not all that exciting so ignore that comment.

Jin, I can sympathize with you on your s/o's mom. My mom's s/o is VERY quiet and shy so there's BIG lulls in conversation.... Very awkward... Maybe you guys can find something fun to do that doesn't require much talking or provokes conversation... Which ever route works best.

Have a great night all!!

Today is my Friday!!! I am taking a personal day tomorrow, and it could not come at a better time. I had a very stressful experience today, which I won't go into here, since I already bored y'all in a separate thread about it. A good friend who I haven't seen in over a year is coming for the weekend, and we are going to the big horse show in Harrisburg. Then out partying and dancing on Saturday, no driving, we've arranged for a taxi since we are a large group. I am tired and headachy today, so I am very happy for the break.

Heidi, Have a great time with your grandparents. I know how you feel, my grandpa was pretty sick the last few years of his life. My S/O and I would visit him as often as we could, cause we didn't know how long he'd be around. I'm glad we did. He lived 30 minutes from us, so it was easier.

Jessica, I'm glad Brian found a new job. Liking, or even tolerating your job makes your life so much better. I hope you feel better.

Jin, My S/O's mother is just the opposite. She talks so much, nobody can get a word in.

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
...been stopping by all day. I just leave it on in the background while I go about my work.... (worked from home today). Interview went well yesterday
. Have to send in a proposal.

Heidi - that's so wonderful you'll get to spend some time with your grandparents. I miss mine very much. Especially my grandpa. He farmed sheep and chickens in PA, and I spent my summers there.
He died many years ago, but I still "write" him a letter every month. It doesn't sound morbid at all. Our time here is limited. Enjoy it while its here.

Ady - don't think I've seen #85 yet - heading straight over there! Sorry about your day. Hate stupid people.

Jin - the "doing something" is a great solution. I have a mother-in-law that has something to say about everything. Getting out and window shopping or going to a museum (near one?) - or just doing something - really helps. "Thought we'd get out," "Haven't had the chance to...." That kind of thing.

Jessica - hubba hubba - watch out!
Happy about the job, though! And so sorry to hear you're sick. A lot of us have been recently. Please get lots of rest.

Movin' on up!
I'm off today and tomorrow. Today was my goof-off decompress day. Bill and I went to the supermarket and stocked up for the week ahead.
He offered to cook, tonight and I said, "Yes, thank you." (My mother raised some fools but, I'm not one of them!)

Going shopping, tomorrow. KMart has Halloween candy cheaper than Walgreen's. They, also, have fleece-lined suede slippers on sale. Bill's slippers are a disgrace (Ike won't even chew on them). He's getting new ones for Christmas.

Gotta go - dinner's ready!

IA. If you need me, just meow..
I was off today and so what do I do? go cell phone shopping. Not for myself really, but mostly for work.(BUT I pay for the whole thing) I already hate it. I hate the thought of being found at every place I am. I feel like I have a collar and a leash now. or at the very least an umbilical cord. Lord why did I do this?
ok I'm better now.
after that we went and looked at more fish(yeah like we need more) we brought a little fish home called a Ram,she is really cute and will be taking the place of the other little ram that died. Hopefully they will get along well. now we are home and I still have to do laundry and dished but of course I HAD to come in and see what was happening in my favorite place!
