We lost one of the Lluest ponies today Her name was Della...



You had 33 wonderful years Della and today life just caught up with you.

It's been a difficult winter for you, losing first condition, and then your best friend Metro. Since then, things just haven't been the same. No longer able to digest your food, you lost weight and were depressed.

Today we made a choice for you. A difficult choice. The right choice. In the end you went so quietly, quickly and peacefully.

Rest in peace, sweet Della. Run free at the bridge with Metro and say hi to Charley for me.

Awww rest in peace Della, you were a beautiful creature, and now free from the pains and tiredness of old age.

I am so very sorry for your loss. She was gorgeous and had a great life with you! 33 is a great life for a horse. but I know it doesn't make the pain any easier to bare.

Thanks for your kind words. Della was a pony at the rescue centre where I volunteer. It's so sad each time we lose one but they do have good lives to the end of their days...

Della's enjoying perfect health and happiness now, running free through surroundings more beautiful than we can imagine. But she won't forget those who loved her here. She won't forget you, and I believe you'll see her again someday.

I found a picture of Metro, Della's best friend who died in February.



Now the two of you are reunited again...
