The new starts and stop dates were set in the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

We are actually starting it 3 weeks earlier and ending it a week later.


The rationale behind DST is so outdated I agree with California in changing to year round DST and getting rid of twice yearly time changes.

Arizona doesn't observe DST but, since a call center deals with people, from all over the country, my schedule will change on Monday - I will go in an hour earlier and get off at 6:30, instead of 7:30.

DST is an anachronism, originally begun as an energy-saving wartime measure. WWII is OVER - DST needs to be dumped.
