I am just calming down now after a scare we had with Nakita last night.
She was her usual self all day yesterday, then around 7pm her stomach got upset and she threw up. No big deal, I gave her some water and she went to sleep. I then came here and posted my pics.
Then I went back upstairs to find her spread on the floor. At first I thought she was purring, but her whole body was trembling and her breathing was weird. We called the local Animal Hospital and took her there. I felt so scared!! Such a tiny ball of fur in such distress. Of course now she was really trembling (because of the other animals and smells) and then started what looked like short convulsions.
By the time the emergency vet saw her, her breathing, pulse, and temperature were fine. She slowly stopped the shaking and was falling asleep on her back (it was way past her bedtime).I have watched her all night, and it's as if nothing happened. She's eating, using her litter, and playing.
Now I don't know if that was a freak event or will lead to more serious problems. I felt so inadequate and helpless.
:confused3
