Did anyone see the Natural World programme about the two orphan cheetah cubs last night?
I really shouldn`t watch these programmes coz it always ends up with me out in the kitchen bawling over the kettle as I make a cup of tea when they end.
Anyway, Simon King had two cubs. I think just two months old( baby cheetahs are soooo cute. like fluffy teddys.) Their mother was killer by a lion. He was trying to re-introduce them to the wild so they didn`t have to spend their lives in an enclosure.
They made it look so easy! I couldn`t imagine how it would be possible.
But it worked!
After two years they were living out in the african bush on their own doing what cheetahs do.
Sadly when they went to do their daily check they found one had been killed in the night by a lion.
But his brother continues to live there.
It is well worth watching if you get the chance. Just have a box of tissues and a kitty to cuddle!
