Ok so my daughter has the flu. She is 5 and I was wondering something. She sweats so much at night. She usually does but now it's even worse. She isn't running a fever. Is that normal?

Flu symptoms that i've had in the past are feeling lethargic, aches and pains all over the body, high temperature, headaches and not being able to stand the light on.

Have you tried having a chat with her doctor on the phone?.

I would call her Dr to be sure!!
What I have heard is it is good for them to sweat, that way their bodies get rid of the infection/illness sooner.
Again, I would call her Dr to be on the safe side.

When I had the flu last year, I did run a low fever, and was sweaty--as were others I knew who had that strain of the flu then. Since your daughter doesn't have a fever, please call her Dr., just to be on the safe side.

I hope she's feeling better very soon.

I forgot to mention that she is on meds (since thursday), I did take her to the dr. I haven't called because it was the urgent care dr. I was just curious about the night sweats but last night she finally slept through the night without coughing and being restless so I think we're in the clear.
