She wants out of my room so bad...she really is in true labor this morning...apparently she wants to have them in one of my kids rooms... not a good idea unless we want kittens that accidentally get stepped on, besides, her box is set up in my room...I can't stay with her constantly though...my daughter is playing outside and she is only 5....I can see her from here but will need to go check on Dutchess constantly....poor thing! Should have pics soon!

We are all waiting! Although I have had 7 prior female cats I have never had the pleasure of having a litter of cats in the house. I have had litters of puppies however, but now I am a cat person.

if she keeps going in and out of labour maybe give your vet a call?
i was told that sometimes a cats body cant always manage and stops the contractions , thats what happend with lillys first litter , she birthed one that wasnt formed properly , then everything just stoped like nothing had happend , the vet said that her body just shut down and couldnt handle any more.
im sure this isnt the case , but just to advise you to be viglint( sorry if that is spelt wrong)
i hope everything goes well and praying for a safe delivery and fat healthy babys.

Wow...this is driving ME nuts waiting, I can't imagine what you are going through.

I've only supervised one birth, and that was with Momma (in my sig)...she got started and it was all over just as fast as it started...within 2 hours we had 6 kittens! So I was lucky. Momma acted like it was just another day, like she had more important business to take care of LOL
But she was a good mother. She was about the same size as your girl.

Best of luck!

Sorry to hear that....

Just called the Emergency Veterinary place here...waiting for a call back. The person I talked with doesn't seem thrilled that she seems to be going in and out of labor, but I am holding off freaking totally until I hear back from them. Will post an update soon! (you know I will! lol!)

If she doesn't have the babies tonight she HAS to go in in the morning....they are concerned that she has had a discharge this long and that labor has stopped and started a few times today. They also said to watch out for her to open-mouth breathe because that means she is in distress. But that confuses me...every cat I have ever seen give birth has done that! Breathing through the mouth that is....didn't everyone's? I don't know...just knocked the worrying level up a bit...Hubby is going to freak if she has to go to emergency care....I just found out how much a basic exam is and that is more than my kids going to the doctors uninsured! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!

I realize your worry level is high and I empathize with the financial end of the deal.

However, I could not get the video to run, but your baby may need to go down to the vets now. She may have a breech birth, she may have a larger kit that is causing the others to stay trapped inside. Please, I am not trying to scare you but after all the problems with this little one, I really feel a vet is what is needed now, not tomorrow.

I would be going sooner rather than later also.

At least I am pretty sure, will know definitely soon. The problem is that she just DOES NOT want to have them in my room! Big DOPE! Safest place in the house! I let her out of my room to get some exercise and she goes right back into labor....Do you think that it is possible that she is just THAT stubborn?

wow that seems strange....maybe just let her go where she wants and see if she starts to deliver? then when the 1st kitt comes take her back to where u want her, in ur room? and i agree definately go 2 see the vet ASAP because waiting a day can be fatal 4 the babies IF there is any such problem, which there hopefully isnt

Yes she might try to hold off labor. See where she goes if she settles close the door of the room she is in and make her feel safe and then just keep checking on her.
