I need to move!!

I am really, really starting to hate this house. First the roof broke and they wanted like $10,000 to fix it but it didn't get fixed so now that jumped up to $27,000. It's not me that has to pay it (it's my boyfriends parents house) but I know they can't afford it so its not going to get done anytime soon. Then the ceiling collapsed, which is not yet fixed either.

Then when we had that ice storm like a month and a half ago, our water pump broke. That was $700. We had no water for 3-4 days.

Now the heat is broken. I am sitting here freeeeeezing because we have no heat, plus this room is the room with the broken ceiling so it lets more cold in. It's currently 61 degrees in here and dropping. Our house is normally kept between 70 and 72. When I woke up yesterday, it was 68 because we turn it down overnight to 68. When I went to bed, it was 65. Now its 61.

oh my gosh!! yeah, I'd definitely be looking for a new place to live when it rains it pours, huh. so sorry you've had to deal with all this

Sounds as though it would be cheaper (and easier) to knock it down and build anew.

It probably would but this house used to be a school so that might cause problems. I think his parents should just sell it. It would be so much easier.

At least it isn't 22 degrees like it is where I am today!

It is currently -14C here which is about 7F.

D'oh! I misread your post. I thought you were posting the outside temps! Sheesh, that is bad!!!

I think you really need to move. I hope it does not tick the in laws off, but that is no way to live. You must be happy. Sending good luck vibes on what ever you decided to do.
