Hello everyone...

I've had my cat for a while now.. since June 06. He was born May so in a few months he'll be 1

anyway, I was wondering if anybody can help me with what he is. My vet told me it was some mix between a coon and some Irish wood-something

his mother just showed up at my friends house and his dad is...well nobody has seen him..lol but all of his brothers/sisters are very different from him.. there was one almost completely white/off white color and very very short fur... mine on the other hand looks very much like his mother and very long fur...

but here are a few pics of him and his lazy self

by the way, his name is Marky lol

Welcome Marky and Emo

to TheCatSite and we don't know what an "Irish wood-something" might be, but Marky is very handsome and yes, he looks like there's some Maine Coon Cat in his ancestry! What's really important is not his "breed" but the fact that you love him and care for him well. All 9 of us are rescued, indoor-only, spayed/neutered of course, and range from almost 17 years young all the way down to just 2 years! We're really glad you're here and that you shared Marky's photos with us -- he is definitely one fine feline!

Are you sure the vet didn't say "Maine Coon" or "Norwegian Forest Cat"? That's the only thing I can think of.

Anyway, Marky is absolutely stunning! The likelihood of him being either of those breeds is pretty small, and without any knowledge of his background, impossible to say. What we do know is that he really is a gorgeous cat, and I look forward to seeing more pictures of him in the future.

Welcome to TCS!

Awwwwww what a cute little bundle Marky was as a kitten. He has grown into such a gorgeous kitty now - he looks so happy and secure
. He wouldn't be a pampered kitty by any chance would he???

Lol he's the only cat we have so ALLL the attention guess where it goes to? When he's thirsty, he's learned to drink from the sink in my bathroom because the water is colder so when he wants to drink 3 people race to the bathroom to turn on the water..
... yeah.. it's like that!
