Oh, I'm so glad you showed us the show! We have a show here soon, and I'd really like to go, but I'm kinda busy Saturday. Maybe on the Sunday portion...It sounds like Tobie's taking the world by storm!

Godiva, relook up the ocicat - I emailed the breeder with your post/pictures. Its not Woody (Charlie's brother) but its Woody's son, Yanni (Charlie's nephew). Message me with Yanni's birthdate please

He's Tobie-color!

That's probably the truth of it - with the colors of the parents and the colors of litter mates.....I have NO idea what all is in his background. He is unique - I'm sure it would take years to duplicate that color

Oh, you're right! I bet I look silly now. I remember thinking that he was a kitten and that Stradivarius would be older by now given the info you gave me.

I just double checked the catalogue-- Stradivarius is the mom or dad, and Yanni is that particular kitten's name. Der. But hey, at least you got the cattery correct... that's amazing to me!

The Somali breederst that were represented are as following... these were all from the Strazkatz cattery: Strazkatz Black Tie Event, Safari Sunset of Norcyn, and Cherokee of Norcyn. There was also Wyldephyre and Mittsnpaws (actually, they're the same cattery, but I can't figure out the way they named their cats).

Thank you for the info. Black Tie Event, Safari Sunset, and Cherokee are all from the breeder I got Kingston from. Wyldephyre and Mittsnpaws are not the same cattery. Mittsnpaws is mentoring Wyldephyre. I have met all these people! Mittsnpaws is a top somali breeder. Mittsnpaws is in alot of somali pedigrees including my Kingston.

Strad (Woody) is Yanni's father Give me the birthdate of Yanni - I think he's about the same age as Charlie (there were 2 litters that she was picking from).

While it might be "amazing" (which it kinda is), its a sign of an excellant breeder that has that much consistency in type, etc. that you are able to know the "cattery". There have been very few catteries with that ability.

I don't think that I have seen a photo of Tobie before - he really is a beautie!

Yep, his first 1st! I didn't even think there were any more rings, but as I was leaving with kittens in tow, I heard them call one last HHP ring, so I threw him in the ring cage. I didn't even get a chance to groom him... and that was the ring he got 1st in!

I've had that happen too. I remember my Russian Blue female at an ACFA show. Almost walked out of the showhall and missed the ring and final! We were packed to go home thinking we would not get anything.

My mom told me "come back - they called your cat to the ring" - I don't know what she got - 5th or 6th place but it was a needed final.

I learned you NEVER leave the show hall till they post all the ring number finals - cause you never know

Charlie got his 2nd final in the last ring of his show
