The Saskatchewan Kinsmen and Kinettes organized a telethon in 1976 to raise money for people in need all around Saskatchewan. The telethon, known as Telemiracle, is held every year at the start of March and is 20 hours long. Local talent perform and people call in to donate money. As of 4:31 pm today, Telemiracle and the people of Saskatchewan have raised $5,375,863 CAD in 19 and a half hours to donate to people in need!
Over the span of 31 years, so many lives have been changed by the generous people of my home province, with more than $73,000,000 raised. I'd just like to share this with everyone. Miracles do happen!
