Sounds pretty awful! Can't remember the last time either the hubby or myself were sick at all! thank goodness!

it is times like this, I am glad I am a nurse. I am immune to vomit. When I hear that my fiancee has puked I get worried about her being dehydrated. I have cleaned up enough vomit, it does not bother me anymore.

You know how people giggle when they're nervous? I think it's kinda like that... And the sound was like a bad movie sound effect. We've both been laughing about it ever since.

Doh! I hate it when I find something incontrollably funny when I know it shouldn't be!

One time that just came to mine happened a while ago. I was teaching a buddy of mine how to play racquetball and on the very FIRST serve I made, I ended up hitting him in the eye. He wasn't wearing goggles at the time - but he bought some after that. It could have been a terrible accident and immediately after it happened, I started laughing my arse off. I'm talking a deep belly laugh where you can't breathe and your legs get weak. LOL

He was alright, but I did give him a black eye.

I hope you're now feeling better!

When my husband vomits, I end up fussing over him, being sympathetic. The first time, he had gone to a bachelor party held in an upscale cigar bar (he doesn't smoke). He had a very expensive, and excellent steak, but the smoke got to him, and he vomited outside in the parking lot. He managed to get some on his shirt (guess who had to launder it???). Three years later, he still talks about that great steak, and what a shame it was!

The 2nd time, he vomited in the parking lot of Longhorn Steakhouse--he blamed it on the coffee creamer, as he's lactose-intolerant. It was funny--I was trying to hold his head for him (it came on very suddenly--no time to get to a bathroom), and trying to care for him, and he kept pushing me away. He later told me he was trying to keep from spewing on me, and I kept trying to comfort him! He later made me a beautiful leather purse (he's a leather-worker), as a consolation prize--he calls it the "Puke Purse"! Every time we drive past that area on the parking lot, we joke about the incident. He alsodid this in another parking lot (steak and coffee creamer again). I have now forbidden him to eat both in the same meal when we go out! I do feel sorry for him; he loves steak and he loves after-dinner coffee, but he just can't tolerate both in the same meal...
