Who, in their right minds, thought it was a good idea to make bathroom sinks black? DH and I are neat freaks, so when we see something a bottle of 409 comes out and is sprayed down. These black sinks are going to be the death of us. I end up scrubbing them down twice a day!

Tell me about it! They clean up great, but when they are dirty they look nasty. They must have gotten a deal.

Really shows cat hair and cat paw prints!!
I don't even want to talk about the paw prints. Scratch has learned that he feels comfy in the sink, so he sleeps in it. The first night when I woke up it looked like the silly thing had eyes. I almost screamed. We bought a night light today, just to make sure that I don't turn on the water and get him all wet.

I died out laughing, too!
Poor Scratch, do you think a night light will be enough light?

I dont think that I've ever seen a black bathroom sink, I could imagine they'd be hard to keep clean though.

I thought the same thing! That is just too funny to even think about. Needless to say I think he'd be broke of sleeping in the sink after about 2 or 3 times of that happening!

In the 70s I went through the whole thing of having black, dark brown and dark blue baths and sinks. It was very fashionable then. But after ten years of trying to keep them clean I reverted to white and have had white ever since. Dark colours are a nightmare, I feel for you. Is htere any chance you can have it changed?

Nope, we are renting so the wonderful black sinks get to stay.

This is a good thing though, I'll never have a dark colored sink for as long as I live.

Betcha they got a good deal on black sinks somewhere when they were building/renovating the apartments!

When we had and apartments, we lucked out--they had just installed new kitchens and baths, and, even though the stuff wasn't exactly palace quality, at least it was neutral. But they put in that horrible flecked 12x12 linoleum industrial-type tile on the kitchen floor (the stuff you see on the floor in K-Mart/Wal-Mart, etc.)!

The worst feature of my apartment was the 2 roomates above me who would argue starting at 5 PM every night; and the woman across the backyard, who sang in the most AWFUL voice to her baby on the balcony in nice weather! This is why I now own a house!

To be honest, my white sink is always dirty too! Kaylee loves to sleep in it, and i really cannot be bothered wiping it down everyday!
