about 2 days ago uno began having a little white gooey discharge coming from his left eye. at first i noticed that when i pull back the skin on the side of his face the veins at the corners of his eyes were more noticible and red, but his normal right eye is white with no veins. now the corners of his eyes are pinkish this morning they were less pinkish. he keeps on rubbing his eyes with his paw.
Is this an infection?
i really dont want to give him any unesnesecary medication, would it go away in a few days? pilo gets them rather often and they go away in a few days
would this get serious???

should i take him to the vet?
Plss helpp
++ thankyou for your replies!!!

It sounds like Pink Eye to me -conjunctivits (spelling?) My cat, George, has it right now. Take Uno to the vet, he/she will make sure it's not a scratch or anything and probably give you a gel antibiotic to put in his eye.

Wash your hands, too! It's possible that they can pass this on.
