Aww!! Your post brought tears to me eyes. Thats so sweet to keep all the little animals in your prayers, and of course your senior kitty, Misty

Nope, not a religious bone in my body, and I feel I have good fortune and get through tough situations through the power of thinking positive!

I don't believe in "god" per se - not in the sense of a being, but it's more like I believe in Universal Consciousness. I believe in communication beyond words and I believe in vibrations. I consider myself to be somewhat spiritual, I guess, but not religious.

I believe we are all connected, and I believe in the power of positive thinking. In fact, I don't remember the University - but it was like John's Hopkins or something that did a study on the power of prayer. It included hundreds of people around the world - people in hospitals who did not know they were being prayed for. Different names and conditions (of people in the hospital) were given to different people participating in the study. I don't recall if the number of people praying for those in the hospitals made a difference, but I do remember that those being prayed for (even though they didn't know they were being prayed for) had a MUCH higher rate of recovery - and quicker.

I use the word "prayer," though I do not pray to "God." Every time I send "prayers" or "vibes" in a post, I do it right then. I take a few moments of silence, send "positive vibes" or "vibe words" or vibe images - of being happy, being healthy, and being bathed by "universal light."

I also spend at least a few minutes a day - no set time - to remember those I "keep" in my "prayers," and to think of all those unfortunate souls - human or animal - that need, that they should be safe and healthy, and for all those cold souls, that they should find it in their hearts to help those - human or animal - in need.

I used to meditate, but don't find time for it now. But I also consider that a kind of prayer. Not one where you ask for anything - but a way to empty the mind of all the chatter that stops us from so many things... including stopping us from being aware of and feeling that center that "knows" there's a universal intelligence that is love.

..and I never pray for things. I pray for people's health or well being, or general "good luck" or positive outcomes. When it comes to me, I don't pray for money or a job or whatever it is that I need, but I pray for - the patience, or the insight, or the understanding that is required of me - because I believe that everything happens for a reason, even if we do not understand the reason at the time.

Morning noon and night. Not that I stop at specific times, just usually on my way to work in the AM, as I'm laying down to sleep, and whenever something comes to mind. My faith is a big part of my life.

I come from an Irish/Italian Catholic Family and Religion played and continues to play a huge part in my life.
I pray every morning when I wake up, every night before I got to bed and I say the Rosary every afternoon.

Praying is a part of my every day life. Nothing is too small to pray. So even things that seem silly, I pray about. Praying is like having a conversation with my best friend.

Philippians 4:6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

This is me too-if someone (family, friend, fellow TCS member) asks for prayer, I stop and pray for them. Nothing is too small or silly (or big or serious, for that matter
) for God- He knows what I'm thinking anyways
. I also pray before I go to bed (after my devotional- I like to "sleep on" mine
) for whatever comes to mind, and for the next day, and I try to remember my thank yous

I'm a nontheist, atheist, whatever you want to call it, so no organized prayer for me. I do, however, formulate, ponder and concentrate on positive outcomes and positive energy for people/situation in need (and if possible, put what effort I have the power to into making them come true!)

nope, I don't believe in god. When I was a kid I bought into it cos I was told to, like most kids, and when my stepfather started to abuse me, I prayed for help. Funnily enough, none came. I've been an atheist since about six or so.
