Uhhhh i was trying to reach the seasonings in the cabinent above the stove....but seeing how i'm quite short (4'11.5'') that didn't quite work a minute ago! I was reaching for one of the seasonings when i accidently dropped an entire bottle of Season Salt into the frying pan on the stove
THANKFULLY it was not on yet!! As i'm just about to cook. So the bottle was covered in vegetable oil.....(that's always delightful!) and Fosters, Digger,(dogs) and Kolar (kitten) came running at the speed of light into the kitchen to try and lick it up!
So i had to shoo them out of the kitchen so i could clean it up. Uhhh maybe i should order take out tonight

Well, catastrophe over....dinner's 1/2 way done- so i think we'll survive
Kolar's in the kitchen standing on top of the laundry detergent jug standing 1/2 way up meowing and chirping at the foster kittens (iris and ivy) -their kennel is on top of the washing machine now- it's quite and warm up there- and Kolar is trying his darndest to "woo them"
He's in here serenading them with kitty love songs while i'm trying to cook dinner

Well, it could have been worse! You could have had food in the pan and the top could have come off. Yeach!

You need some of those sturdy plastic steps to stand on, I am average-ish height (about 5'5") but whoever lived in this flat before me put the kitchen cabinets up so high on the wall that I can't reach!
I am always knocking things out of them onto the counters or floor. It doesn't help that I can't lift my arms properly mind you (a bit of arthritis).

You're right- i really do need a step stool here.
I usually just jump on the counters (bad i know right
) and climb up to reach what i need- but it just gets tedious. Colin was really sweet a few weeks ago and moved everything off the top shelves in the cabinets i used the most onto the middle ones so i can sort of reach them
