Stage 4 is very advanced, having spread to many parts of the body, beyond the primary tumor site.
I hope the chemo works it's miracles.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. No, stage 4 is not good...it means that the cancer has spread to other organs. It doesn't mean that there's no hope, though. We know someone who had been diagnosed with the most very advanced kind of cancer possible...it had spread to a number of other areas in her body. They told her she only had a few months to live. That was almost 10 years ago, and she's still alive today. I'll keep him in my prayers!

stage 4 isn't good, as you know... the scale goes from 0-5. But only 1 in 28 men will actially die from colon cancer so that's goo news.

I will keep him in my prayers.

No, that's not good. My prayers are with that family -a s someone who's Dad is battling cancer, I know how difficult it is to deal with. My Dad has had 10 surgeries for bladder cancer thus far, followed by chemo each time. We're just waiting for his next checkup in a few weeks and expect to be going through it again.

Over the river and through the woods...
Prayers going out to him, your friend, and the family. As well as to you, because obviously you care about your friend very much. Stage four is not good...but, chemo can give your friend more time with her father and they can make some wonderful memories. Tell your friend to concentrate on the time they have and love him every moment of the day. Hopefully chemo will help, and with everyone praying he may get a miracle!
