Registering a cat

Hi

The cat i have now, was a stray before. The woman that i got her from found the cat outside. I am going to set up an appointment for her to go to the vet to get checked out and her shots. If she isn't spayed already, by a previous owner where she might've gotten out from, then i will get her spayed and i am taking care of her matts in her fur right now getting a steel comb and later a furminator. I want to register the cat, so she is actually legal and has tags.. i'm pretty sure i need to do that before i go to the vet so i wanted to ask how to do that now. If anyone can help me out, i'd greatly appreciate it.

You will just get her tags from the vet for her vaccinations, like her rabies tag. You don't need to do anything before you go to the vet...
