Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum.
I have 2 cats, although my oldest, Coco, 15 y/o lives next door with my mum. She left home when my son bought home his dog Sooty, 6 1/2 years ago.
My dog April is soon to be 14, a border collie, is slowing up with arthritis, is deaf & has lost all her muscle.
I also have a kitten, Blossom, 6 m/o next week. She was found after being dumped, by my son when she was 3 1/2 weeks old. I bottle fed her & taught her all she needed to know, eating out of a bowl, using the litter tray, & her scratching tree. She is a very wild kitten, I'm sure she thinks she's a dog, she pants like April when she's been running around all over the house. She used to attack our feet when we walked around, spent a lot of time in her crate. Anyhow I love her to bits.
I also have 4 pet mice, 2 birds, & my youngest son has a snake, & Sooty's dad has tropical fish.

G'day Kalikat and Large Family,

to TheCatSite and THANK YOU and your son for rescuing little Blossom, who sounds like a real cutie! She will undoubtedly mellow out with time...Poor Coco! I hope your mum loves her very much and that she feels better living with her.... All 9 of us are indoor-only rescued spayed/neutered felines, and although there are four hens here, too (some distance away, up in the barn!), there are NO DOGS and never will be! Snakes visit the land sometimes, and there are lots of mice and birds here, too. We hope you enjoy the forums and visit often -- we'd love to see photos of Coco, Blossom, and family if you want to post 'em, too!

everyone for the warm welcomes. I won't be able to post pics until my son helps me. I'm only learning about computers & its lingo. Blossom looks a little like this kitty except she has eyes the color of dried gum leaves. I wish I could have found this forum when we first got her, I was forever looking on the net for info on raising a baby kitten. Anyway I'm here now & looking forward to conversing with you all.

Welcome! My vet told me those little ones raised without their mothers can be wil becuase Mom is not there to discipline them.
