We have two new foster kittens-They're prescious!
Today we had someone bring in 3 kitties to the shelter today right before i left work- two 6 week old kittens and an adult male. The adult male was trying to assume the role of "mr. mom"
and was a total doll- we neutered him and he is now up for adoption. I have the two little kittens with me now. We just got back from a checkup with the vet- they have a clean bill of health- but they have what looks to be the very beinning of an upper respiratory infection- so as a prevenative- they're on antibiotics for 10 days. They are both girls. I named them Iris and Ivy
They're dsh grey marble tabbies.
Sassy little things too- they just gave me hell when i tried to give them their medicine
I'm definitely going to have my hands full with them!
Kolar is trying to investigate the new kitties (he's seperate from them just to be safe). He keeps chirping and meeping at his new lady friends
We're pretty definite we're adopting Kolar by the way- so that's awesome
/ Also more good news- Over 17 dogs and quite a few kitties were spayed and neutered today!
Wish me luck with Iris and Ivy- they're going to be little drama queens!
I can already tell
Right now they're settling into their nice warm kennel and loving their heating pad and soft blankes. They are also enjoying "dining" from the pretty kitty dishes that they insist they have their milk from
(they're just now learning to drink from a dish- so i'm doing both bottles/droppers and dishes to gradually adjust them and wean them)

I called Cingulair and told them what was happening. They had me turn my phone off for a certain amount of time then turn it back on. Then call them. They sent me a text message to see if i could recieve it and i sent them one and they both went through. But here's the thing- when i try to text my pictures to photobucket or facebook - it doesn't work?
It keeps saying "message failed. Resend? Yes or No?" I dunno what to do for it- i think i might take it up to the actual store this week since it didn't work over the phone
I have TONS of cute pictures i've taken on there that i need to put online- from our trip to new orleans, of our new dog, new ones of kolar the kitten, and of the new girls. I just need to be able to text them to the site

2 large dogs, 1 noisy boy kitten, a fish who thinks he should be fed everytime i walk past his tank and now two drama queen kittens
And that's not even all of my animals - my other girls are at my moms duplex/ my old place until Colin and I get the house ready for them. Then we will have 3 of my kitties, Velvet, Isabella, and Jasmine moving in with us! I need my head examined
- oh but alas something great about my new job- i can take my furbabies to work with me whenever i want!

Oh my goodness! Those little girls are sooooooo spunky!
They are sooooooo rotten
They were sassin me the entire time i fed them, hissed at the pups- iris tried to be a tough cat and show poor whiskey who's boss
They're into EVERYTHING!!!!! too cute! Hehe, Kolar keeps trying to see them and talk to them
I just put Iris and Ivy back in their cage a minute ago after feeding them- (on top of the dryer so it's quiet) - Kolar hopped up on the table and is trying to look at them and "talk" to them
He likes his new lady friends

Oh my goodness! They are sooooooooooooooooooo rotten!
They've been non-stop since i woke up this morning
They have discovered that they can climb and jump today and boy are they having a hayday doing so! They've tried to make me a kitty tree, climbed on the table and tried to get into the blinds, scared the devil out of the dogs hissing at them
(keep in mind- both of my dogs are huge- especially fosters-
They were scared of two little 1.5lb kittens hissing at them
), they have also tried to steal my cereal, eat my slippers, steal Kolars toys, and hissed at Colin
/ What was funny was when i sneezed earlier today- i guess it offended them- because they started hissing and spitting when i sneezed
/I am going to have my hands full with these two little girls!
I had to put itsy bitsy collars on them today because they are soooooooooooo hard to tell apart- their colors and markings, and bodies are almost identical. So Iris has a little pink tiny safe collar with "diamond" rhinestons on it, and Ivy has a little purple one with tiny little yellow and white flowers on it.
Kolar thinks his new lady friends are gorgeous
he's been trying to visit them since i brought them home

Kolar is approx. 5 1/2-6 months old now, the girls are about 6 weeks old according to the vet yesterday. I got Kolar and his littermates around the 24th of October and they were already a few weeks old (maybe- 3-4 weeks at the time). I've had him sooooo long now i just can't bare to bring him back
I've been talking with Colin lately about adopting him- he's family now. I think our home is best for him- that and he's soooooo bonded with Colin and I and the other animals. So it's pretty much settled -he's staying with us if i have my way about it
He's definitely trying to be a ladies man

I really don't think there's anyplace better for little Kolar out there! He seems to have made himself right at home & if you keep brining him ladies...boy he'll be in heaven!

lol no kidding!
he keeps meeping and talking to them
but he's not allowed to come in contact with them just to be on the safe side. i took him to the shelter i work at yesterday to have the vet look him over and see if he could get neutered (it was spay/neuter day at our shelter- every thursday is). he is STILL sick with the URI issues so we put him on a different medicine yetsterday- he's going to be on it for 10 days, and then after 10 days if he's better- we're going to make him wait 10 more days to be definite it's out of his system and then have him neutered hopefully (they won't do surgery on a sick animal for good reason). So he's already going to be staying with us a few more weeks- by the time he would be ready to be placed up for adoption- he'd be an adult cat....and adults are harder to adopt out- so it REALLY makes sense for us to keep him (that and i'm sooooo in love with him
) he's the nicest kitty!
He's definitely already made himself at home here too
He drags my blankets/throws off the back of our furniture and lays down on it on our furniture- lol like he's doing now on our recliner
He also LOVES Colin and the dogs- So yea, lol he's not going back
/ Yesterday i told my boss we were thinking about adopting him- she said "YEA!!!!" lol then said she would waive the adoption fee for him for us since she knows he'll be in a good home. So yea, i'm pretty sure we're keeping him

Well- the girls just got their bellies full for now so they're sound asleep. SOOOO cute!
When i was feeding them though- they sure were rotten!
I was feeding little Iris a few minutes ago when Whiskey and Fosters walked past her. She had milk in her mouth at this point then she proceeded to start hissing- well, she hissed milk everywhere!
Little rugrat! lol she got it all over herself, on the couch, and on both dogs
The poor dogs looked soooo confused
They don't understand why the new kitties don't like them
The new girls have taken quite a liking to little Kolar though- they are always trying to get to him and meowing soooo sweetly at him! Too cute! Those girls are turning out to be such drama queens!

They sound lovely, and I bet it wont take long for them to be able to find good homes. I really can't wait to see pics of them. I did get a new foster, and you have replied on my post - mine is a lot different to yours, but then I dont often get the kittens to foster, I find them incredibly hard work!!

They're adorable- as soon as i get pictures (well i have some, just on my camera phone and that's not cooperating
) i'll post them. Kittens are definitely an around the clock committment- they need constant care so it can definitely be hard work- but they're worth it
My speciality are orphaned infant kittens. Also the GREAT thing about my new job is that i can take them to work with me if need be for feedings
Very convient!!

Am still waiting eagerly for pics.

I couldn't do orphaned kittens, as I work full time in an office and can't really take them to work with me!! My speciality couldn't be further from yours - mine are oldies!!
