I prefer laptops. I started out with an old desktop that only had 64 mb ram :p and a 1 gig hard drive. this was years ago..then in 2002 I got a Sony Vaio laptop. I loved it at first, loved having a laptop, it's so convenient, I can take it wherever I want, ect, but the Vaio had problems - the motherboard died after a year and I had to pay 400 bucks to get it replaced. Still, it held up otherwise til a few weeks ago, when I jumped up cos the phone rang, not knowing my leg was tangled in the power chord, went to go answer the phone, and yanked the laptop down off the desk where it crash-banged onto the floor, the fan behind it I used to keep it from overheating landing on top of it. (for the last year of its life, if I didnt have a fan blowing directly at it, it would overheat in ten minutes).
A week later (a week and a half ago last sunday) I got my new laptop
It's an HP dv6265us - 2 gigs of ram, 160 gig hard drive.. I love it
It's also got the new windows Vista, which I'm loving so far - lots of improvements over XP. Saturday we're getting a wireless router, so I can bring the lappy in bed without a million wires trailing everywhere.
