There is an animal called a "Fisher Cat" which is not related to the cat family, it is a member of the weasle family and is a vicious animal.

THe link you provide shows a wildcat, not sure of the breed, but it does not appear to be an adoptable cat.

These "cats" are indigineous to SE Asia and are on the endangered list. You would need a various different licences, approved permits among other things before you could even touch one. Forget about owning one an leave them in the wild where they belong.

I've heard of them, they are from Asia, and I've seen candid photos of them in private homes (I believe) but apparently they love water, and will catch their own fish in the wild..... I doubt that it's legal to own one....also, it's not too fair to the animal either.....their natural habitat is near water, so unless you live in an area where they can hunt/swim, it just wouldn't seem right!

There is a species of feline called the fishing cat, which is what the OP is referring to - but as others have said, this is a wild member of the cat family and owning one would be like taking in a bobcat or lynx - doable by the right people, but not for most.
