Well, the babies are now 3 weeks old, and they all seem very healthy! They've started "running" up and down the box (it's long and narrow), and playing with each other. Their personalities are starting to show through! And I must say, they are the most adorable little fluff balls I've ever seen! There are 5. We've named 3 so far. Pepper, Squintz (some of you may have read my thread on the baby who's eye was infected for a while, but is now cleared up, thank God), and Napoleon who we've already nicknamed Nappy

So, without further adieu, here are some pictures

Mama and the babies, a few hours after they were born

Napoleon on his second day, peeking his head out of the box

Alley being such a good mommy!

This is about 1.5-2 weeks old, squintz is on the left, he still hadn't opened his one eye

This is at about 2.5 weeks
Squintz, who's eye is opened, but not completely, this is pretty much what his eye looks like now, and Napoleon... The twins

Napoleon absolutely LOVES the camera, he's such a handsome little man!

We have not named her yet, she's camera shy, but so playful, a real trouble maker with the others!!

These pictures are from earlier today, at 3 weeks old. They've really started to "run" around and play. So cute to watch!

This is my absolutely FAVORITE pictures so far!

Pepper, just wriggling around by himself

She's causing trouble again!

I do have videos, but please don't mind my commentary
I hate speaking to a camera, but I'm sending it to my mom, she hasn't seen the kittens yet, so I was pointing them out by name.

I do have a HUGE online album of the babies if you want to see the rest of teh 5 pages of pictures. Work from the last page forward, if you want to see them in chronological order

Motherhood suits her very well
I rescued her from an alley-way in New York City in the middle of the night, nursed her back to health with the help of my mom, and she has been such a great cat. She was so small and ratty when I got her, and she's just filled out, and her coat just shines now, silky smooth.
I'm so proud of her

That's precious! I love it when they are that age! Just wait for 4 and 5 weeks- oh, they are so cute at that age too- "running", pouncing, playing...!

Don't you love all black cats? Superstitions be darned! We got our pure black on Halloween, just to tempt fate! lol! That's not really why, but I like to say so. I am always curious how a cat that is one solid color can produce a tabby, or a cali...strange. Good luck with the babies! Is the one's eye all better now?

Those two look identical to the father.

Yes, the one eye is better now. It's still a little more "squinted" than the other eye, but I think that's just how he is I think, but he is healthy and growing
