Why are you trying to torture me?

Stay strong, Nat, and good luck with your new regimen!

Bleah! I've never had Taco Bell where I didn't get massive indigestion afterwards! Must have something to do with my GERD. I make my own Mexican food - spanish rice, tacos, enchilladas, quesadillas, etc. DH doesn't even ask for Taco Bell anymore (maybe he's sneaking there behind my back)!

Poor Eileen!
You'll make it!

I'm dieting right now, so I feel your pain! When I have a craving for something, say like a piece of cake, I think to myself "there will always be cake...I will still be able to get cake when I have lost the weight". Try thinking that you're not eliminating it forever, just for a little while...Taco Bell will always be there.

Could be!
Seriously, you've got me convinced that a stop at the grocery is in order on the way home from work today to get the fixings for Mexican food. I'm thinking gorditas!

Thanks, Kelly. I like that! Good luck with your diet!

Do yourself a favor and go on the Taco Bell website and read how mjuch fat and sodium and clories are in the Taco Bell items you crave. Then rent the movie Supersize Me. You are addicted. you should never go back to eating that crap, or any other fast food crap. You will have to go through withdrawal from transfats, and hydrogenated fat, and high fuctose corn syrup, all killers.

Honestly, I'm not nearly as addicted as this thread makes me out to be. I generally allow myself one visit to Taco Bell a week, at the most, and stay away from other fast food. My mom's a dietician so I was raised in a house where we ate a healthy and balanced diet and, thanks to mom, I've managed to keep to these practices (for the most part) as adult.

I am surprised then that you want it at all. We never drank soda or ate fast food when I was a kid, and I have no desire to eat that stuff, and on the rare occasion that I do, I think it is disgusting. Of course if it were covered in choclate, I would be singing a different tune.

There is one Taco Bell in England- and its on an American Army base where I'd need security clearance

I actually moved jobs to get nearer the TB in Earls Court before it was closed down...

and I'm sure I'd get in trouble if I mentioned why it was closed down

Eileen, Eileen, Eileen, if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that we're forgiven!
Right?! So all you have to say is like 10 hail Mary's are your free & clear right?!

Not to rub it in, but I am having quesadilla's at Applebee's tonight with my sister!

After seeing the "Rats overtake Taco Bell/KFC!!!" video yesterday and thought this thread was a joke. I doubt I'll ever be able to eat there again...which i rarely did anyway.

I'm making chicken enchiladas this weekend Eileen.
You are more than welcome.

I'm waiting for the Taco Bell deprivation dreams to start!

I don't know what the draw is. Guess it helps that it's cheap and good.

I'm sorry you lost your TB. You've really got me curious about why!

I saw that on the news last night. Totally disgusting, but I figure by the time Lent's over, I'll have forgotten about it!

Thanks for the invite! And, since you mentioned it, I think they've started. Last night it was our favorite British judge from AI.

Sorry!
First thought when I woke this morning was "Why?"
Guess I better not watch the results show tonight.
