Got back from eye Dr.

She called it something PTK(??) anyhoo-basically my corneas are really messed up!! She said it looks like an abusive contact user And I have never in my life wore glasses or contacts!! So she prescribed me some meds, whoah~that cost out the booty....but I hope they get to feeling better soon.

That's too bad! Has it affected your vision at all? Is this something that's curable?

She seems to think that as long as I do the prescription(antibiotic) for 2 weeks and the OTC stuff, it should kick it! She wants me back in a week to check them again

I was a contact lens abuser...and have the cornea problem.
("abuser" can mean simply wearing them for years and years. When you are first getting your lenses, they won't tell you about this problem. Years of blocking some oxygen to your eyes is what the problem is)

I hope you were seen by a cornea specialist.
I find it odd you have this prob w/o being an abuser. Please follow the directions as they prescribe...and don't fret too much. I'm still kicking!

well its good that you got to know whats going on and hopefully the meds are gonna sort it for you

Me too!! And yes, it is scary....

Did she say what she thought had caused it? Dry eye or something? How odd! Hope this med clears it right up for you!
