I've spent ages trying to figure out what the D stands for in Dr D Claw. It finally just clicked - de-claw...... That's an awesome name

That's so sweet that Claw feels so happy in his new home.
Good luck at the vets, and with his fur pulling issues!

I hope everything goes ok at the vets, and I really hope that you find out why he is pulling his hair out.

I am glad that he is fitting in so well too.

Thanks for the vibes everyone... Dr. D Claw came back well. He's even gained some weight.

We are putting him on a steroid to control some of the itching. It's possible that he is still having effects from the flea allergy. He's also missing some fur on his ears so I got some meds to treat that too.

I'm going to take some full body shots of him tonight so I can take them into the Vet when we go back in three weeks. We thought that was the best way to judge his progress.

As a side note, I love my Vet, she rescues kitties and rehomes them. I saw a poster up with an FIV positive baby she is trying to place. For our 4th I may get one from her. She tends to do special needs kitties, and with my progress with Scratch and Dr. Claw I think I may be ready for what she has for me.

This literally brought a little tear to my eye. What a sweetheart.
He's so lucky to have found you.

That is so wonderful
I know you guys were thinking of NOT getting him, and actually "choosing" a kitty. I'm so glad you decided to save him after all, and I imagine you are as well!

I can't believe you're talking about a 4th already...

I really want to see the full body shots of your handsome boy as well! I am so excited for you guys, he sounds like such a wonderful boy!

4 is my limit... and I won't be able to get him or her until I buy a house. That is in about a year to a year and a half from now.

DH thinks I'm a crazy for wanting so many, but I still have to remember that he's a converted kitty lover. When we first met he wasn't keen on the idea, but the first time he met 8-Bit he was hooked.

Did they do a scraping for sarcoptic mange? It itches like mad and you'll see hair start to go missing from the ears too.

I hope it's just a little flea allergy and it goes away and then he's a happy and healthy kid!

Aww i'm soo glad he's adjusting well into his new family
/ You know- my sister kimmy has a kitty, Patch, who does the same exact thing with his fur. (even with flea prevenative, etc) He has really really bad allergies. So once a month- they give him a Malabase bath- that seems to help a bit and soothe his irritated skin/fur

That is all good news. I hope you sort out the pulling problem soon. He does sound such an adorable kitty.
