My sweet rattie girl Rosie will finally getting her tumor removed tomorrow. She originally was supposed to get it removed about a month ago but it got postponed because of some family emergencies. Now she has a different kind tumor on her foot as well that will also be removed.

I'm just worried about the anesthesia, they say it can be a tricky thing with rats. Anyone have a rat who had a tumor removed?

I hope everthing goes well with Rosie

I haven't personally had any tumours removed from my rats, but know others who have and it has been very successful.

Let us know how it goes!

No Vacancy...One on the way!
I am a fellow rat owner..I know how precious they can be. I have a black and white female dumbo named TJ who is just a sweetheart!

I hope all goes well for Rosie and I wish her a speedy recovery.

I am sure she will be fine.

Thanks everyone!

All went well and Rosie is home!
The poor girl has such a long incision from her under arm down to her leg, but it looks good. Her foot is what really needs to be watched over the next to days to make sure there is no swelling. It is bandaged but they sent home antibiotics just in case she gets her bandage off.

She is still a bit dopey from the anesthesia but has been eating well.
She goes back on Thursday to have the bandage on her foot removed.
