My husband and I picked up a flattop range for my parents yesterday that I found on Craigslist for $25 (what a deal
) Anyway. when we put it in the truck I asked him if he was going to use tie-downs and he said no, it'll be fine. So, every corner that we turned my stomach clenched. I just had a bad feeling about not securing the range. We drove backroads for awhile and finally mearged onto the freeway. Literally seconds later a big gust of wind hit us and the range completely FLIPPED OVER!! UPSIDE DOWN!! Luckily it didn't fly out of the truck. In shock we pulled onto the side of the road and turned it back over. And yes, he used the tie-downs this time
The most amazing part of the story is that nothing was broken, it had a few paint chips but no real damage. Men are so subborn sometimes
