This is just a question of curiosity, as I already have a solution to it in action but I am wondering what this could be. From a fairly young age (2 months or so). I noticed that Typhus had a "smell" it was subtle, but if she was within a foot of you, it was obvious.
It was very distinct, and smelled reminiscent to salted herring with a bit of a mysterious heavy scent tacked on.
The smell encompassed her whole body, but was stronger at her back end, which as a typical kitten she stuck in my face a lot (she also woke me by sitting on my face. Thankfully, she's grown out of that
).
The smell stayed with every single high-end canned and dry food I fed her. Felidae chicken and rice wet(which she pukes with now), Evo wet, california natural chicken and rice wet, felidae dry, petguard wet rabbit, etc.
But within two days of raw, she's odorless (I fed canned and raw). Has anyone had this happen? What causes it?
