I'm so sorry you still feel this pain over losing Sambo, but I understand it completely.
Sadly, I assume I will have to see every one of the 12 kitties I have now cross the bridge before leave this life
I feel that way about my kitty family, too; I look at the faces of the youngest ones (they're 9 months old) & it kills me to think that someday I'll lose them. There are times that, like you, I'd give anything to hold Belle or Tucker or Daisy or any of my other long-lost fur-kids just one more time.
I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that Sambo had a wonderful life with you, and he'll be over-joyed to see you again some day.

Thank you for your kind words, they mean a lot to me

I do find comfort in knowing that Sambo had a wonderful life and he was so loved. And I find more comfort knowing he is healthy again, he can see, he can run around like he used to when he was younger. That alone makes me happy, it just doesn't help my heart right now. I can not believe that it has been almost a year that he has been gone.

That does make me feel better Nat, and thank you for telling me how cute he is. I always thought so, but I was his mama. All mamas think that their babies are cute.

Your Sambo was so beautiful! How you must miss him. A whole year has gone by. I can't even imagine how you must feel.

He looks so happy in the pictures that it is obvious he had a wonderful life with you.

I will light a candle for your little Sambo tonight.

Although it is hard to let go of someone we love, I think that if you can look at those photographs of Sambo, who was obviously a happy dog, who knew that he was loved...well, rejoice in that, remember the firiendship and companionship and unconditional love that you gave each other - and really, he is always with you as a little guardian angel. At least, that is what I think.

Belinda, Sambo was a real sweetie
-- a darling boy. I'm so sorry for your loss and I know how difficult approaching anniversaries are -- I've got bunch of my own that I hope not to add to any time soon.
to you.

The anniversaries are very hard. I'm sorry you're hurting now.
