can cats just have days where they want dry more than wet?

yesterday and this morning stoli hasn't seemed too thrilled about his wet food. he's eating it but not with gusto....he eats up the dry food like he USED to eat up his wet food. it may be possible that he is bored of the flavor......

Neither Persi or Alley ever want or eat wet food so I certainly would not worry about it.

Miss Moofs goes through phases like that...so I let her just eat biscuits if thats what she wants. When I want her to have wet, I sprinkle some biscuits underneath and on top so she gets both...........

Then strangly enough, sometimes she wont touch biscuits at all

Yes they can get bored .... Kandie decided she wanted her raw diet back and refused to eat canned

I've been going though this very same thing with Gizmo. I never use to have a problem getting him to eat his wet food but for the few days he's been turning his nose up on all canned food. At first he was just eating less but now he just looks at the food, looks at me, then walks away.
I tried switching to a different brand/flavor but no luck. He's been eating his dry food normally though so I guess that's something.

this is exactly what is happening to stoli. i get paranoid because last time he did this we spent two months looking at blood work and trying to get him healthy.....so naturally i get concerned. but today he just wanted dry food.

he's been playing all night so hopefully this is just a phase.

mine do. i figure just like me, sometimes they don't feel like (fill-in-the-blank) for dinner.
on those days they eat more dry.

we're also mixing 3 different kinds of dry right now. their main one isn't fabulous, and stimpy scarf-n-barfs the 2 new ones if they are by themselves because the kibble is small. it's like a kitty buffet at our house right now.
for whatever reason, all 3 together is ok.

My two girls do that as well, especially Kuce. Some days she wants mostly dried, other days she wants canned. *shrugs*

Chessy does that pretty often too. I hate throwing out wet food that he doesn't eat but sometimes I just have to.

stoli just wants luxor's venison and pea for some reason.

stoli ate a blade of fake grass on sunday (it even had bitter apple on it) and his poop is FINALLY back to normal. he had been having issues and then on top of it, not REALLY wanting to eat wet food but all is normal tonight. he just doesn't want his normal food - the one we special ordered

go figure
